About Us

Leeds Writers and Poets was founded in May 2012 to provide a forum for aspiring writers and poets to gain quality feedback from other people with similar interests.

Our members range widely in age and attitude, and we write everything from sci-fi to romance to poetry to literary fiction.

Our focus is on improvement. So while we would never want to discourage any writer or knock their confidence, this is not the place for writers who only want to be told positive things about their writing.

Where We Meet

In normal times, we meet at the Cardigan Arms. For the foreseeable future, due to the pandemic, we have made all our meetings digital, via Zoom.
