Kat: $3,500 Ghost, Fable, and Fractured Fairy Tales Prize Judged by Kevin Brockmeier We invite writers to submit to the Fractured Lit Ghost, Fable, and Fractured Fairy Tales Prize through February 15, 2021. Guest judge Kevin Brockmeier will choose three prize winners from a shortlist. We're excited to offer the winner of this prize $3000 and publication, while the 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive publication and $300 and $200, respectively. All entries will be considered for publication. Fractured Lit is looking for stories of ghosts, fables, allegory, and fractured fairy tales in 1,000 words or less. Richard: Hello all, We're once again putting together an LWAP anthology for the National Association of Writers and Groups (NAWG) annual competition. Their deadline is the end of March, so to give Kat time to collate everything I will need your submissions three weeks before that (Wednesday March 10th). I’ll put a link to the contest rules at the bottom of this post but the most relevant info is that nothing we submit can already have been published elsewhere. One thing I want to stress this time is that there are also multiple individual categories for poetry, short stories etc that people may want to enter. I’ve been in touch with them and there are very few restrictions – if we wanted we could each submit to every one of the individual comps as well as the anthology, which I hadn’t realised. Those of you who’ve contributed before will know what a great job Kat does making the physical copy look good, so I hope everyone considers submitting something to be a part of it. Ian Sietniekas: Easy all. While we were very clever and proactive in ad hoccing a new critique session for 30th of Dec, it's been pointed out that we didn't set any kind of submission deadline. Between our collective brainpower, that's mildly worrying. Much as the sadist in me want's to suggest a 25th Dec deadline, I'm prepared to accept that people may have other things going on. If people could submit by the 27th, that should give us all enough time to complete Christmas and not have a load of last minute reading to do.
