Workshop - 24 January 2019
I just finished reading a really good book, and whilst finding out more about it came across this article by the author, about research and the importance of accuracy. I thought it was interesting.

Andrey Pissantchev: Also! I appear to have volunteered myself to organize the inaugural LWAP writing retreat for this year.
I'd like to get a rough number of people thinking of attending and a general idea of what people are interested in, so please fill out this survey for me: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/B9W923L
(I'll be checking the results around the next session on January 24th, make sure to get your answer in before that.)

Kat: Okay, I did it, but typically for me I wanted an 'other' option on almost all of them because none of the answers fitted me perfectly. I prefer August because Freyja will be older so more of a chance both Timi and I will be able to get away for the weekend if we can bribe / blackmail / surprise baby one of the nanas into it. But I can do both, technically. I put a 'maximim' budget but it's not a hard number, just a preferred. Bet you're all glad I shared this with all of you - I'm sure you have nothing better to be doing than reading this inane waffling. It's like the antithesis of Mark's comment.

Andrey Pissantchev: Next session is officially down as a workshop. I've not heard anything about it so I assume it's a normal critique session?

Mark James Barrett: I'm confused. There are three people down to attend this week and seven pieces of work, discounting my own, in the submissions file. Can anyone shed any light on this because I don't want to be critiquing work that isn't relevant to the meeting?

Amanda: Hello and happy new year! Looking at the meeting schedule, I’m in London (work) for the January and February meet ups. Gutted! I’ll read the submitted pieces and will bring with me when I catch up with you all in March. If there’s anything happening any weekend let me know.... Manda x

Mark James Barrett: A bit late, but I wanted to thank Ian and Imogen for hosting the LWAP Christmas Party. They were great hosts and company, and thanks to them, I am now hooked on gin martinis, which is nice. Merry Christmas to all LWAP and your loved ones. I wish you good health and phenomenal writing success in the new year x
