Andrey Pissantchev: So I had to miss last week's critique session and I'm mildly bitter about it.
Would people be interested in converting next week's workshop into another critique session? Attendance for the workshop seems a bit thin at the moment.

Mark James Barrett: Hi all, just noticed I am down to moderate this evening and am unable to attend any meetings at the moment. I am really sorry I didn't realise before and hope someone can stand in for me. Apologies to you all.

Kat: Obviously this is a bit late to be of much use, but just wanted to say that it's really no problem. The correlation between people being marked as moderating and actually turning up to that session is thin to say the least, and it doesn't seem to be a problem at all. Someone steps up (or usually, Ian pretends to try to do it, but acts so completely useless at managing the function of a timer that Andrey, sighing heavily, takes over). But it is a shame you can't make it for a while - hope you're back soon!

Kev (A local nobody): Wanted to be there tonight, but commitment renders this unmanageable.
Can't possibly make the following workshop, but will definitely be at the AGM... To gloat.

Adam Sewell : Hi all, sorry I’ve not been around over the summer, been a bit crazy. And a MASSIVE apology for not making it to Mark’s garden party. Totally slid on that one. Should be back with more Vikings in October. Thanks.

Andrey Pissantchev: Here's some shameless self-promotion from me:
1. My toilet-based horror short story "The Unnatural Call" just got published in Grotesque Magazine's latest issue: http://www.grotesque-magazine.com/grotesque-volume-2-issue-3/. If you feel like buying a copy, here's an affiliate link which will siphon some of your hard-earned money towards my personal booze fund: https://payhip.com/b/Qq7N/af5ba4ba5c5fc77
2. I mentioned I have a blog now, where I keep track of what I've published and where. Here it is: https://write.as/andrey-p/

Kat: Hi guys,
We've had a pretty cool sounding offer:
Hi I was recommended to make contact. I am a London based creative producer who will be in Leeds Sun Sept 23 and Sun 30 running sessions to shape ideas/screenplays into a pitch/treatment that can move and have traction. I share my experiences having worked with talent Charlie Kaufman and Lynne Ramsay, from working for the producer of 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' to more recently for Maven Pictures ('American Honey') - owned by the produce of 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels'.) It would be great to talk to someone more from your group and see if these might spark for some of your writers. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks Julia

Julia has offered our members are exclusive 40% off if we'd like to go. I'm tempted - is anyone else interested?
