Leeds Writers and Poets was founded in 2012 by Katja Kaine, who wanted to create a space for writers which was constructive, encouraging and inclusive.

Our members include everyone from completely new writers to published authors who have won competitions and awards.

​

Some of our members have had work published in print anthologies, online magazines and several have had short stories broadcast on BBC Leeds.
